Dance
Dancing is one of the exercises mostly used in an entertaining way. You go out dancing with friends or you can just dance in front of the mirror and you are getting a workout. There are many workout routines that are based on dancing. There is nothing better than the good feeling of dancing added to a regular exercise routine. Dancing is great because it targets most of the muscle of your body. It is a great way to lose weight, tone muscle and increase circulation in your body. Here are some dance workouts available:
Belly Dancing- It’s an old dance that incorporates a sensual movement of rips and belly. It is used in the Middle Eastern cultures as entertainment and now in the Western hemisphere as well, as a great form of dance and exercise. There are cardio workouts that include belly dancing moves and music, making them unusual and fun. In a workout like this one can expect movement of the arms in a snake-like pattern and shaking of the hips while one leg steps forward. One can also expect the famous belly movement in which the belly produces a undulation from the upper abs to the lower pelvic area.
Ballet- Ballet is an old dance, mostly used in the theater as an art form presentation. Although, it is very pretty in the stage, ballet can be a strenuous form of exercise. When done well this dance can require at least 8 hours a day of pure training. It is normally a class taken by children on their early age, but it is still available for adults as different types of dance that incorporate its moves. Modern dance is an example of a dance based on ballet movements. It uses structured movements from ballet in creativity ways, allowing the dancer to extrapolate feelings on his dance.
Meditative dance- As the name says it is a form of relaxation, while still stretching and increasing circulation in the body. Normally practiced with calming songs and comfortable clothes, meditation dancing is a great way to distress after a long day of work.
Ballroom Dance – Even though ballroom dance has been around for many years, it has become more popular lately. It is a great form of exercise working and toning all the muscle of your body. Ballroom dance embraces many Latin dance modalities that can only be found at dance studios. Because of the educational level required by these dances they will seem to be more expensive than a creative dance style. Some examples are the tango, Cha Cha, Rumba, Samba and others.
