CardioWhat to say about cardio? It's an amazing fast paced exercise, with fast beat music and choreography. It gets your body moving and your heart beating fast. It is great for cardiovascular stimulation, making the heart stronger. There are many kinds of cardio classes available today. Here are some examples for you: Step - Step classes are done in conjunction with a couple of props as the step and sometimes, but not necessary weights. Classes are based on choreography. The teacher will repeat the names of each movement as everyone moves to the beat. It can sometimes have movements similar to dance movements as the "mambo" movement which is a crossing your legs while walking away and towards your step. It's a very popular exercise in all ages, but it excludes people that can't remember the movements as easily. It is advisable that one take a beginners class before advancing in a regular step class. Kickboxing - the name says it all. It is a cardio class based on martial arts with the use of kicks and punching. The choreography here is a little easier than the one found in step. You will mostly need to remember three or four set of movements and repeat them for a while. Sets can include a couple of kick and punches. This exercise will reach some areas not worked by other mat based fitness programs. It wouldn't be too bad if one got into a intermediate class by mistake because it's easy to pick up.
